Escalante and Boulder have a number of studios, galleries and merchants that feature local artists’ goods and artworks. Be sure to stop in at the following venues to see the offerings of our creative community.

 

Cache Canning Company / Wild Desert Rose Boutique

Two treasures in one building. Drop by for jams, pickles, ferments, etc. made with local ingredients whenever possible. The honor system stand is open 24/7, so you can drop by anytime for freshly canned goods. The boutique features works by Escalante artists Michael Soren, Jennifer King and Shylee Allen, and offers jewelry, hand-made cards, and ceramics by other local and regional artists.

Magnolia’s hosts a variety of local and regional artists in handmade jewelry, pottery, hand dyed silk, soaps, and Magnolia’s own canned goods. They also serve delicious breakfasts and lunches made with fresh ingredients (vegetarian and vegan options available).

Sculptured Furniture /  Primitive Pottery Gallery

David and Brigitte moved to Escalante in 1996 from Berlin, Germany.  David’s Sculptured Furniture echoes the organic forms of the Red Rock Country, while Brigitte’s Primitive Pottery is inspired by prehistoric cultures of the Colorado Plateau, and after recent trips to Sri Lanka, Brigitte has also resumed painting.

Serenidad Studio/Gallery

170 South 100 West, Escalante

Open Wednesday and Thursday, September 24 and 25,  10 am – 6pm

Features watercolors of local historic homes, barns and landscapes by Harriet Priska, one of the founders of the Escalante Canyons Art Festival. Also showing Navajo and antique jewelry, local rocks, pioneer soap, and books about the West and antiques.

Utah Canyon Outdoors

325 West Main Street, Escalante

Open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 6 pm, Sunday 9 am – 5 pm

Escalante is quickly becoming a magnet for artists inspired by the incredible landscapes that abound here. Now is your chance to take a bit of that magic home with you! Utah Canyon Outdoors features art by Kathleen Price and other local and regional artists in jewelry, cards and prints, natural body products and more – created in and inspired by this amazing place! Come and enjoy artisan coffee, baked goods, fruit smoothies and milkshakes.
