Plein Air Painting Competition

September 20 - September 25

The Plein Air Painting Competition allows artists six full days to paint.  Canvas stamping occurs at the Escalante Community Center and begins Friday, September 20.  See below for dates and times. Final painting entries must be submitted on Wednesday, September 25 between 11 AM and 6 PM at the Escalante Community Center. Nocturne Competition

September 20 - September 25

Paint the Town Paint Out

September 24 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

$875 in prizes Stamp-in: 7 AM to NOON / Submission: 2 PM to 5 PM "Paint the Town" is the theme for the 2019 Paint-Out. Artists will paint in and around Escalante.  Proceeds will be donated to the local volunteer Fire Department/EMTs.

An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating until September 27, 2019

The Plein Air Exhibit is the highlight of the festival and showcases all art submitted for the Plein Air Competitions.  The show typically includes more than 200 entries in oil, pastel, watercolor, and other mixed media that have been produced during the days leading up to the show by registered artists of all levels of experience.   The exhibit is a great venue for purchasing art and seeing how the region's rural and natural landscapes have been interpreted and captured on canvas or…

2019 GSENM Artist in Residence Exhibit
