Bonnie Griffith is an artist of the western landscape, working in oils and pastels. The rich pigments of pastel and oil allows her to create paintings that have the brilliance and the bold color we see in the West giving her unlimited options to create the images representational of the colors, depth and texture inherent in this physical earth.

Griffith’s love of the landscape prompts her to paint it and look for a story to tell. Her goal is to create a work the viewer can “step into” and experience their own story.

Griffith has studied with great instructors like Lorenzo Chavez, Ned Mueller, Elizabeth Mowry and other contemporary landscape artists. She is a signature artist with the Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Northwest Pastel Society.

Working out of her Crooked Creek Art Studio in southwestern Idaho and
painting plein air throughout the western US she teaches workshops in plein air painting, pastels and multimedia techniques.
