Angelo L. Stokes can effortlessly be described as a “Universal Percussionist” – he has performed with Aretha Franklin, Toni Tennille, Lou Rawls, Bo Diddley, Stevie Wonder, and Steve Turré. He has been a protégé́ of Marcus Belgrave since the tender age of 16 while attending The Detroit School for the Performing Arts. Angelo recently became an assistant professor at the IOWA State Jazz program.
