“En plein air” is a French expression which means “in the open air” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors.
What is there to paint in this area?
The competition allows painting in a three county region of southcentral Utah. You will find stunningly colorful sandstone canyons, high-elevation coniforous forests, small pastoral communities surrounded by agricultural fields, and pre-historic and historic architecture from native cultures and pioneers.
